Temple Emanuel of the Pascack Valley

Temple Emanuel - Rabbi's Message

Welcome to Temple Emanuel of the Pascack Valley.  For over 80 years our congregation has served the Jewish community of the Pascack Valley and its environs as a bet knesset (a center to gather, share, and celebrate), bet tefila (a center to pray, meditate, and speak with God), and a bet midrash (a center to learn from our ancestors, from our God, and from one another).  In our world of constant motion and fragmentation, our goal is to help each other create meaningful and enduring connections with our fellow Jews and with our God in order to repair ourselves and repair the world.  We believe strongly that the great strength of a synagogue is the presence of multiple generations and multiple backgrounds in one community. We constantly strive, therefore, to bring together young and old, veteran and newcomer, to share knowledge and life experiences.  We all have something to learn and something to teach. We all can inspire others and be inspired ourselves.

I hope I have piqued your interest in our congregation and that will you contact me, our other clergy, or other members of our leadership team to find out more about Temple Emanuel of the Pascack Valley.  Creating Community…Inspiring Commitment is not only our motto, it’s our constant challenge as well.

B’shalom,

Rabbi Ben Shull
