FOR YOU
PARTICIPATION IN SYNAGOGUE ACTIVITIES

Membership - Family memberships are available to interfaith couples and their children.  All members are encouraged to be involved in synagogue activities.

Keruv Support - Our Keruv (Welcoming) Committee has developed many support programs and opportunities for intermarried couples to draw closer to the congregation of Temple Emanuel.  From small group discussions to informational workshops, the Keruv Committee is devoted to extending an open and welcoming hand to those who approach our community.

Worship Services - Everyone is warmly invited to join in Temple Emanuel worship services.  English translations and transliterations are available, as are adult education classes to learn more about our services.

Life-Cycle Events - Our congregation looks forward to celebrating your family’s joys and sharing your family’s sorrows.  There are many opportunities for families to participate in rites of passage.  Our rabbi is available to guide you through these important moments in your family’s life.

Adult Education opportunities - Temple Emanuel offers a wide range of educational opportunities for all those wishing to learn more about Judaism.  These classes are open to the community as a whole.  Basic Judaism with Rabbi Shull and Prayerbook Hebrew with Rabbi Shelley Kniaz are just two of our many offerings for adults.  There is something for everyone.  Classes are held throughout the week.  Please consult our Adult/Continuing Education brochure for details.

For those who are interested in becoming Jewish - Temple Emanuel warmly welcomes all who choose to join our tradition.  Becoming Jewish is a wonderful thing, but it is not a decision to be made lightly or quickly.  You can explore this option without making a commitment.  To learn more about the path to becoming Jewish, please contact Rabbi Shull.
