Bergen County High School of Jewish Studies (BCHSJS)

Temple Emanuel is privileged to serve as a campus of the excellent high school program, the Bergen County High School of Jewish Studies, so our students may attend the program in our building or at one of the two other campuses.

** Classes meet on Monday evenings at Temple Emanuel from 6:45 - 9:10 pm.  Other branches meet on Sunday mornings at the Ma’ayanot School in Teaneck, NJ and on Thursday evenings at Temple Beth Rishon in Wyckoff, NJ.

** Students attend three classes a session and make their selections from among a wide variety of engaging classes each semester.

** BCHSJS has a dynamic faculty, perfectly suited to working with high school students.

** Time for socializing and snack is part of the program.

** Students participate in a variety of off-site activities such as theater trips and weekend retreats.

** Students meet peers from neighboring communities, providing new energy and a new social network.

** Registration is open to any 8^th – 12^th grade Jewish teenager.
