Amy Fingeret, an early childhood educator since 1991, has brought to the Temple Emanuel Early Childhood Program her rich preschool teaching background, Jewish organization management skills and strategic marketing experience. And most importantly, the knowledge that children learn best through discovery. Amy and her staff encourage creativity, curiosity and confidence. The children of Temple Emanuel enter kindergarten ready for success and possessing a genuine love of learning.
The teaching staff of the Temple Emanuel Early Childhood Program is comprised of a highly educated, fully certified, warm and energetic group of outstanding educators.
Many of our teachers have been with us for decades and others have joined more recently after watching their own children flourish through our program. There is a real sense of pride and shared educational philosophy among our staff.
Whether your child is first learning to write her name, solve a puzzle, or work out a problem with a friend, our teachers use their skills, wisdom and heart to guide her to the next step.
I find the greatest satisfaction in working with the mothers and babies in the Come Play With Me program and then watching those children grow over the years.
Lisa Lonschein, CPWM & Music Teacher
The children love music with Mrs. Lonschein!
Over the years, I have been fortunate to teach within the Temple Emanuel Early Childhood Program. It has been a pleasure to work with an amazing, professional staff of educators and involved parents. We have all grown together as the Program has evolved to where it is today. I have always worked with the two-year-olds (my first love). It is a delight to see how much they grow over the year and develop a love for school. It is also a bonus for me to be able to keep tabs on “my kids” over the next two years - to watch them mature and prepare for Kindergarten.
-- Beverly Fink, Two’s Teacher
All three of my girls went through the program and I would not have gone any place else. This is such a nurturing environment.
-- Mindy Hirschberg, Two’s Teacher
I enjoy sharing my love of the Jewish holidays with the children by expanding their Hebrew vocabulary and their familiarity with Hebrew blessings. I aim to expand their social skills while working with the three-year-old curriculum in a fun and nurturing environment. Working closely with our warm and professional staff as well as our enthusiastic parents has made my years in The Early Childhood Program rewarding and enjoyable.
--- Eleanor Wasserman, Three’s Teacher
I find it satisfying to know that I have instilled in them some exposure to their Jewish heritage and traditions. Each day has been a pleasure listening to their answers to open-ended questions and sharing daily learning experiences with them.
-- Sandy Liebman, Four’s Teacher
It is so rewarding to give our children the tools to be problem solvers, independent thinkers and caring individuals.
